Sunday, September 23, 2012 marked the celebration of the altar feast of the Nativity of the Mother of God parish in Albany, New York, as well as the retirement of its venerable rector, the Very Reverend Archpriest Vsevolod Drobot (HTS 1965). Bishop Jerome (Shaw) of Manhattan (HTS 1971) celebrated a hierarchical liturgy with Fr. Vsevolod and nine other priests from Albany and other neighboring parishes. Among the visiting clergy were two hieromonks from Holy Trinity Monastery, Fr. Roman (Krassovsky) and Fr. Theophylact (Clapper-DeWell), as well as Deacon Ephraim Willmarth, the Dean's Assistant at the Seminary. Several students from Holy Trinity Seminary also came for the feast.

At the close of the liturgy there was a cross procession and intoning of "Many Years" for the serving clergy, including the retired Fr.
Vsevolod, and the incoming Rector, Archpriest Alexis Duncan (HTS 1988), formerly of Atlanta, Georgia. Afterwards there was a banquet in the parish hall, where many of the faithful and clergy gave heartfelt speeches thanking Fr. Vsevolod for his five decades of service to the parish.

Holy Trinity Seminary would like to congratulate Fr. Vsevolod, whose spiritual presence and good example has long been felt and seen by many at the seminary and monastery.   We would like to wish Fr. Alexis many rewarding years and the strength to be a good pastor of his new parish.
