Farewell to Father Roman
On October 31, 2012 (Oct. 18 o.s.), the feast of Apostle and Evangelist Luke, which is the patron saint of the Rector of Holy Trinity Seminary and Abbot of Holy Trinity Monastery, Archimandrite Luke, a reception was held to give occasion to bid farewell to Hieromonk Roman (Krassovsky), just prior to his departure to the Holy Land to assist the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission there.
A number of those present expressed their love and appreciation for Fr. Roman, including some who had known him for many years and some who had only recently made his acquaintance.
Fr. Roman taught Church Singing and Liturgics for many years in Holy Trinity Seminary. He directed the combined Monastery-Seminary Choir at Holy Trinity Monastery for over thirty years. His liturgical expertise and work with the liturgical calendar are well-known. He will certainly be missed. We hope and pray for Fr. Roman’s success and salvation in his new endeavors in the Holy Land.
