Meeting of Orthodox Inter-Seminary Movement at St.-Vladimir's Seminary
On February 25-26, students representing Holy Trinity Seminary attended the Spring meeting of the Orthodox Inter-Seminary Movement (OISM), held at St. Vladimir's Theological Seminary in Crestwood, New York. The group, consisting of Ephraim Willmarth, Feliks Lubnin, David Mahand, John Martin, and Srdjan Puskar, met with seminarians from six other Orthodox seminaries: St. Vladimir's, St, Tikhon's, St. Herman's (OCA), Holy Cross (GOA), St. Sophia's (Ukrainian), and Christ the Savior (Carpatho-Russian). After arriving at the seminary on Friday evening, the HTS contingent had dinner with their fellow seminarians, and socialized in the dormitory common room.
The next morning, the seminarians attended the Divine Liturgy on the day of Soul Saturday. After the liturgy, there was a hearty brunch and then a tour of the seminary campus. Later that afternoon, there was a formal meeting of all the OISM members, in which new officers were selected; David Mahand (HTS) was appointed Secretary. Also discussed was the next OISM meeting at Holy Trinity Seminary in Fall 2011.
