Seminary Choir travels to Albany
On Sunday, March 21, the Holy Trinity Seminary Choir, led by 4th-year student Ephraim Willmarth, traveled to the Nativity of the Theotokos parish in Albany, NY. The choir also included 4th-year student Nikolai Lochmatow and 2nd-year students Matthew Romanchuk, Anthony Williams, and Peter Markevich. The quintet sang the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil, which was dedicated to the Holy Mother Mary of Egypt. The repertoire featured pieces by Smolensky and also included compositions by the ever-memorable Archimandrite Matfei and a litany written by Sergei Konyus specifically for the Holy Trinity Monastery choir. Several members of the parish choir joined in.
We would like to thank the Parish for their generous donation for the needs of the seminary and the parish rector, Archpriest Vsevolod Drobot for inviting the seminarians to sing.
