Two years ago, on March 16, 2008, the abbot of Holy Trinity Monastery and First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad Metropolitan Laurus reposed in the Lord.  To mark Tuesday’s anniversary, Archimandrite Luke, the monastery clergy, professors and students of the seminary, and the surrounding faithful served a Pannikhida for our ever-memorable Archpastor at his tomb below the monastery cathedral.  Before the service, Fr. Luke spoke about the Metropolitan’s life, emphasizing that His Eminence always put personal spiritual growth above all else, a characteristic of all the saints.
