Archpriest Artemii Vladimirov from Moscow visits Holy Trinity Seminary
On February 25, Archpriest Artemii Vladimirov visited Holy Trinity Monastery. That evening, he met with students of the Theological seminary and monastery brothers. In his introductory remarks, Fr. Artemii expressed his extraordinary joy at finding himself within the walls of our monastery. “In the days of my youth,” remarked the priest, “it was very difficult to obtain any spiritual book. And the literature which the press at Jordanville published gave us, in large part, a representation of native Orthodoxy.
Fr. Artemii expounded on the importance of the presbyter in the contemporary world, which is in need of modern pastoral guidance – guidance which is not necessary poetic and elevated, but simple and full of a personal life of prayer. The students of the seminary thanked Fr. Artemii Vladimirov for graciously sharing his pastoral gifts and expressed to him their wish to again see him at the holy monastery.
