On Monday, March 16, 2009, the community of Holy Trinity Monastery and Seminary, together with visitors, gathered at the tomb of the late Metropolitan Laurus to serve a panikhida on the anniversary of his repose. Archimandrite Luke, abbott of Holy Trinty Monastery and rector of Holy Trinity Seminary, addressed those who gathered on this day with warm words about Metropolitan Laurus and expressed heartfelt appreciation for all of his accomplishments and labors for the Russian Church and its followers. During the procession a new gravestone for Metropolitan Laurus' tomb was blessed.
