2007-08 Academic Year Begins

Archimandrite Luke advised all the students as to how to be successful at Holy Trinity Seminary. He used the life of St. Alexander Nevsky, whose feast day it was, as an example. He said that although he was a prince and a statesman, he always turned to God for help. Everyone should take this example, and especially seminarians, because they are future clergy. Deacon Vladimir spoke mostly about practical matters concerning the seminary and library, and student life, including a note on the upcoming Orthodox Inter-Seminary Movement symposium. Registration followed in Hieromonk Theophelact's office. Classes began the following day. Holy Trinity Seminary increased in size with the incoming students.
